Cecilia Buck-Taylor, JD

Cecilia has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology as well as a Juris Doctorate degree from the Fordham University School of Law in 1991.

Cecilia has been practicing Family-related law  for over 20 years and presently continues to handle a large number of litigated cases in Family court.  Her experience in Family law encompasses not only acting as a strong and knowledgeable advocate for her clients but also as court appointed Guardian ad litem for children in Family and Criminal cases.   Her continued involvement as a practicing attorney appearing in court on behalf of her clients allows her the opportunity to be aware of the law and trends in the court system to assist in mediation.

Cecilia has two adult children from a previous marriage and has been happily re-married for over 10 years.  Having experienced a divorce with two young children, Cecilia is personally aware of the trauma and expense that is a part of a litigated divorce.  It is from her divorce and her experience as a Guardian ad litem that she has developed a commitment to helping people resolve their divorce issues in a non-confrontational, team oriented approach — especially when there are children involved.
